Ageostrophic Frontal Processes Controlling Phytoplankton Production, published in PLoS ONE

Temel Oguz (SOCIB) in collaboration with Diego Macias and Joaquín Tintoré, published the results of a new study on biophysical model simulations. It illustrated the major role of ageostrophic dynamics of the strongly nonlinear boundary current frontal instabilities along the Spanish coast on the plankton production characteristics of the Catalano-Balearic Sea. The paper has been published in the June 2015 issue of "PLos One" journal.
